Car shows are always flashy and impressive and for a car lover or connoisseur, there is no better place to be, in order to see the new releases. But the New York auto show is a whole new level, and the 2016 edition proves it with some pretty sweet vehicles and some nifty innovations.

Audi R8 Spyder

The price for this model has yet to be announced, but Scott Keogh (CEO of Audi North America) guaranteed it would be more than $150,000. The price tag may be high, but the car is worth it, with a steering wheel with multiple functions, push-button start, and an impressive engine growl.

Chevrolet 2017 Camaro ZL1

The new Chevrolet comes packed with a lot of exciting features, including a V8 engine with 640 horsepower. Set to come out later in 2016, this model is said to be comparable with “any sports coupe”, according to Mark Reuss.

Porsche Macan GTS

The newest Porsche Macan is an SUV that will set you back $48,550. At that price, however, it offers a 4-cylinder engine with 252 horsepower, as well as a top speed of 142 miles per hour. Advertised to remain true to the Porsche driving experience and behaviour, the car is set to come out in July.

Nissan GT-R

The updated GT-R presents some innovations both to its interior and exterior and packs 565 horsepower. Nissan calls it its “most progressive sports car” and it will be available for sale in the summer of 2016.

Toyota Prius Prime

A top speed of 84 miles per hour, a driving range of 600 miles, an 11.3-gallon tank and an 8.8kWh battery are what the new Prius Prime, Toyota’s latest model, has to offer. You can get it this fall, which is exciting especially for the electric car enthusiasts.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

The new Grand Cherokee from Jeep is the uber jeep. With a better 4×4 ability, capable of succeeding on any kind of trail, but offering a luxury, full-leather interior, at the same time, the Trailhawk is one impressive SUV. Look out for it this summer and next year, when it goes on sale.

Koenigsegg Regera

This so-called “revolutionary” model was debuted in North America at the New York Auto Show, so it’s fresh. Here, it impressed with its internal combustion engine, no less than three electronic motors, its ability to go from 0 to 249 miles in under 20 seconds, and as much as 1,500 horsepower.

Hyundai Genesis concept

Hyundai uncovered its innovation concept car from the luxury Genesis line. The company is planning on releasing six of these models until 2020, and this is one of them. This concept car is a sports sedan that is meant to be athletic, but elegant, since it’s a New York Concept.

Alfa Romeo Giulia

Alfa Romeo has big plans by 2020 as well, and is set to come out with eight new cars, starting with the Alfa Romeo Giulia, unveiled in North America at the New York Auto Show. From 0 to 60 in under 5.5 seconds, 276 horsepower and eight-speed automatic transmission – not bad at all.

Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe

Last, but not least, the new Mercedes-Benz concept comes with a sports car style and a desire to excite both luxury lovers and fans of Mercedes, in general. The CEO is confident about how it’s being received, and the car will be seen in dealerships as of 2017.
